The European Students’ Union (ESU) is hiring a Communication Officer in Brussels, Belgium. The role focuses on shaping ESU’s public image and engaging with students and policymakers to promote inclusive education and democratic participation.

Starting end of August / September 2026, the one-year contract (37.5 hr/week) offers a gross monthly salary of 2,315.20€ plus benefits, with flexible home-teleworking a few days per week and travel allowances where applicable.

Qualifications

• MA holder in Communication, Graphic Design and/or Marketing.
• Knowledge of promotional activities.
• Strong computer skills and web literacy.
• Excellent visual skills and creativity.
• Willingness for on-camera presence and good verbal communication.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Interest in education-related issues.
• Knowledge of project management is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Manage ESU’s social media profiles and website (WordPress).
• Produce audio-visual materials for website and social media.
• Assist in updating and implementing ESU’s Communications strategy.
• Promote ESU events, projects, campaigns, and policies to stakeholders.
• Manage Google Workspace and internal communication tools.
• Collaborate with partner organisations on Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, CoE projects.
• Draft newsletter articles and coordinate contributions for The Student Voice.
