Job summary

Mecanic Systems in Belgium is seeking a skilled CNC operator to work on laser or punching machines in our sheet metal workshop. You will run the machine independently, set up, load tools, and adjust cutting parameters to optimize quality and efficiency.

You will check the quality of the cut, ensure parts meet customer specifications, report anomalies, and collaborate with the programming department to improve processes. Weekly machine maintenance is required.

Qualifications

• Training in general mechanics or electromechanics or vocational 7th year.
• Strong ability to read technical drawings.
• Proficiency with measuring instruments (caliper, tape, angle comparator).
• Willingness to work 2–3 shifts.
• Rigour, discipline and a positive attitude for meticulous work.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC laser or punching machine independently; start up and adjust the machine.
• Load tools and set cutting parameters (gas pressure, cutting speed, focal length).
• Check quality and conformity of parts to customer specifications.
• Anticipate and report machine anomalies; communicate with programming dept.
• Perform weekly maintenance (filters, lenses, tools).
