Job summary

PwC Belgium is seeking a Senior Associate specializing in CMC to join our Health Industry team. You will support client projects as part of PwC project teams, managing CMC initiatives and delivering strategic recommendations across pharma and biotech contexts.

Responsibilities include project leadership, regulatory alignment, and process improvements, with opportunities to contribute to PwC’s CMC center of excellence and business development. Fluency in English and Dutch or French is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in biomedical sciences or related field.
• Fluent in English, Dutch or French.
• Two to five years of Life Science or consultancy experience in CMC.
• Willingness to travel up to three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage CMC projects for Pharma/Biotech clients including strategic assessment and implementation of new operating models.
• Act as PM/PMO for CMC department in pharma/biotech sectors (timeline, budget, risks).
• Serve as SME for CMC-focused projects in pharma/biotech.
• Assist clients in solving CMC challenges: supply chain optimization, digitalization, regulatory compliance, tech transfer.
• Contribute to PwC CMC center of excellence and business development.

Your impact

As a Senior Associate, you will support our clients as part of a PwC project team and/or single project assignments. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Manage CMC projects at Pharma or Biotech clients, including strategic assessment, developing recommendations and implementation of new operating models
• Act as a PM/PMO for CMC department in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries (e.g. timeline, budget, risks)
• Act as a SME for CMC focused projects in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries
• Helping clients to solve CMC challenges including optimization of supply chain, digitalization, regulatory compliance, manufacturing scale-up, process validation and tech transfer
• Actively contribute to the development of PwC center of excellence on CMC development
• Actively contribute to business development including service offering, scanning of the market and account planning.
• Actively contribute to market development including writing thought leadership, point-of-view papers and/or blog posts.

About you

• Master’s degree in biomedical sciences, economics, (bio-)engineering, business administration, sciences or comparable by experience
• Passionate about CMC processes and regulatory compliance
• Minimum two to five years of experience in the Life Science industry or in consultancy with focus on CMC projects.
• Knowhow and interest in advanced therapies challenges and market trends within the Life Science & Healthcare industry (key players, technological landscape, market dynamics, etc.).
• Ability to combine specialist technical knowledge, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with consulting skills (project management, presentation and communication skills, etc.) while working directly with management and employees on the clients’ premises
• Fluent in English, and Dutch or French
• Flexibility to work in different environments and locations (travel abroad up to three days per week) and easily acquire new skills and expertise
• Autonomous and proactive attitude with an entrepreneurship mindset
