A leading tech consulting firm in Brussels seeks a Medior Cloud Security Engineer to deploy and maintain Cloudflare solutions and handle security incidents. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience with Cloudflare WAF and a strong understanding of security technologies. This full-time role involves participating in Agile transformation and taking on a Watch Duty role. Proficiency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years expertise in Cloudflare and Cloudflare WAF.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and security technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python.

Job Title: Medior Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Brussels

Duration: 1 year

Work Schedule: Full-time, 2 office days per week

Role and Responsibilities:

• Deploy, support, and maintain Cloudflare solutions within a Dual Layer WAF Strategy.
• Participate in security and business-related projects.
• Resolve incidents related to security products and solutions.
• Engage in automation processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in the Watch Duty role (24/7/365) to address evolving threats as part of the Global Cyber Security team.
• Contribute to the transformation of the team to Agile methodologies.

Technical Skills Required:

• Expertise in Cloudflare and Cloudflare WAF (minimum 3 years).
• Strong understanding of the 7 layers of the OSI model.
• Proficient in HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, TLS/mTLS.
• Knowledge of authentication technologies such as SAML/OAUTH.
• Experience with Imperva WAF/WAAP on-premise, SAAS, and Cloud is an asset.
• Development skills in Python; other programming languages are a plus.
• Familiarity with Terraform/Ansible and automation experience is advantageous.
• Specialized expertise in a specific technical domain is welcomed.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies is beneficial.
• CISSP and/or OSCP certifications are considered assets.

Additional Skills:

• Understanding of PKI.
• Experience with reverse proxies such as Apache HTTPD and NGINX is an asset.
• Linux/Unix System Engineering skills, particularly with RedHat.
