InTouch is building a scalable, cloud-native platform to automate traffic enforcement for cities and police districts in Belgium. We seek an engineer who leads transformation projects, mentors peers, and champions reliable, high-performance infrastructure.

You will design and operate resilient systems, modernize legacy stacks, and guide a team toward best practices while thriving in a collaborative, no-jerks culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and operating scalable, high-availability infrastructure.
• Proven track record leading transformation projects and mentoring engineers.
• Hands-on with Terraform, Kubernetes, Azure, Grafana, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluent in Dutch.

Responsabilités

• Design, scale and improve our infrastructure: Kubernetes, Azure Cloud, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, the Grafana stack and automation.
• Set the technical direction: introduce new concepts, make architecture decisions and back them up with solid arguments.
• Take ownership of solutions end to end, from design to production, delivering quality results.
• Collaborate with motivated teammates who are passionate about engineering excellence.

What you’ll be doing

You'll build resilient platforms that scale and stay reliable, giving cities the tools to keep mobility running smoothly, without the chaos.

Modernising our stack.

You'll transform legacy systems into future-proof solutions and play a leading role in shaping our evolving tech landscape.

Day to day, you will:

• Design, scale and improve our infrastructure: Kubernetes, Azure Cloud, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, the Grafana stack and automation.
• Set the technical direction: introduce new concepts, make architecture decisions and back them up with solid arguments.
• Take ownership of solutions end to end, from design to production. You own what you deliver, and you make sure it's right.
• Collaborate with motivated teammates who are passionate about raising the bar for engineering excellence.

What you bring

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience designing and operating scalable, high-availability infrastructure, with a strong focus on cloud-native platforms, automation and reliability.
• A proven track record in leading transformation projects, migrating legacy systems to modern stacks, and mentoring engineers while fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform, Kubernetes, Azure, the Grafana stack and building CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines and/or GitHub Actions).
• Passion for best practices and for delivering stable, reliable and cost-effective solutions that support long-term ambitions.
• The ability to turn vision into action: defining project plans, assessing risks and ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
• Fluent in Dutch.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
• Familiarity with Helm and ArgoCD for Kubernetes application management.
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and containerized environments.

Location: Hybrid, with 2 days a week at our office in Leuven/Sint-Truiden. The rest of the week you work from home.
