Job summary

Agfa HealthCare, a division of Agfa-Gevaert, seeks an experienced Cloud Operations Leader to build and scale the Cloud Operations organization for its Enterprise Imaging cloud platform. This role owns end-to-end operational performance, reliability, and security across production cloud environments.

In collaboration with Solution Architecture, Engineering, Product Management, and SecOps, you will embed modern SRE/SysOps practices, drive automation, and lead a global, 24/7 team to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of operating and scaling cloud-based production platforms.
• 5+ years of leadership experience building Cloud Operations/SRE teams in a 24/7 global environment.
• Proven ownership of operational reliability, availability, and performance.
• Deep expertise in AWS-first cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong experience with automation-driven operations.
• Background in ITIL-aligned service management (incident, problem, change, capacity).
• Experience in regulated/compliance-driven environments.
• Proven ability to partner with Engineering, Architecture, Security, Support, and business stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational health, stability, and performance of all production cloud platforms and shared services.
• Manage SLAs, error budgets, and operational KPIs aligned to customer experience and business priorities.
• Lead major incidents with response, escalation, communication, and post-incident remediation.
• Partner with Customer Support for escalation management and rapid resolution.
• Establish operational readiness, release governance standards, and change management.
• Design on-call, escalation, and follow-the-sun support models.
• Drive automation and toil reduction to improve reliability.
• Oversee lifecycle of AWS-first cloud platforms and ensure DR and business continuity.
