Elia Group in Brussels is seeking a mid-level Enterprise Infrastructure Architect to define technology principles and reference architectures across the enterprise.

You will shape cloud, network, and security strategies, work with infrastructure teams, and help choose between cloud and on-premise options while ensuring security and resilience. This role requires five years of experience, a master's degree, and fluent English with Dutch or French, with on-site work two days a week.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years as an Enterprise Infrastructure Architect.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English; professional Dutch or French.

Responsibilities

• Defining technology principles that guide architectural decisions across the company.
• Developing domain-specific strategies across areas such as network, AI, cloud, security, and data.
• Creating reference architectures for the different technology domains of the enterprise.
• Assessing projects to determine whether they align with the defined technology strategy.
• Collaborating with infrastructure engineering teams to translate strategic guidelines into practical technical direction.
• Supporting decision-making and project evaluation by clarifying cloud versus on-premise trade-offs.
