CDH Professionals is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join a technical team in Antwerp on a freelance, long-term basis. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure infrastructure, with emphasis on automation, security and reliability in a hybrid work setting.

You will collaborate with development, infrastructure and security teams, contribute to cloud architecture decisions, and support CI/CD and deployment processes.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Familiar with Terraform, automation and CI/CD.
• Good English communication skills.

• Design and implement Azure cloud infrastructure based on business and technical requirements.
• Manage and maintain existing Azure environments.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and automation solutions.
• Support cloud networking, security and access management.

Azure Cloud Engineer – Freelance

Location: Antwerp, Belgium

Work arrangement: Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join a technical team within an established organisation in Antwerp.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, while helping to improve automation, security, reliability and overall cloud maturity.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working across cloud infrastructure and collaborating with technical teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

Your responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure cloud infrastructure based on business and technical requirements.
• Manage and maintain existing Azure environments.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and automation solutions.

Your profile

• Several years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Azure Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking and security.
• Experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure-as-Code technology.
• Experience with automation and scripting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with wider technical teams.
• Good communication skills in English.
