GAMBIT Financial Solutions seeks an experienced Cloud & DevOps Engineer to manage infrastructure for a banking application hosted on IBM Cloud, deployed with OpenShift and Terraform. You will implement security controls, automation, and monitoring to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

The role involves collaborating with development and security teams to uphold best practices, optimize performance, and maintain high availability in a regulated financial environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or IBM Cloud) and core services.
• Proven experience deploying/managing production with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Expertise in Terraform including modules, state management and testing.
• Track record designing and enforcing security controls.
• Proficiency in automation and DevOps tools (CI/CD, scripting).
• Strong problem-solving and autonomous work in fast-paced cloud environment.

Responsabilités

• Deploy, manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on IBM Cloud using Terraform and Helm charts.
• Administer and support OpenShift clusters for scalability, security, HA and cost efficiency.
• Implement and enforce security controls to comply with IBM Financial Services certification and regulations.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize infrastructure and applications (e.g., Dynatrace).
• Automate deployment and configuration processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to follow best practices in cloud deployments.
• Contribute to incident management ensuring high availability and performance.

We are looking for an experienced Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us manage the infrastructure for a banking application hosted on IBM Cloud and deployed with OpenShift and Terraform. The application must comply with IBM Financial services certification, which is based on NIST 800-53 Rev 4 requirements, so security, automation, and compliance are key aspects of the role.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure on IBM Cloud using Terraform and Helm charts.
• Administer and Support OpenShift clusters, ensuring scalability, security, high availability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement and Enforce security best practices to comply with IBM Financial Services certification, financial regulations and customer compliance requirements.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure and applications using tools such as Dynatrace.
• Automate deployment and configuration processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational risks.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure best practices are followed in cloud deployments.
• Contribute to incident management and resolution, ensuring high availability and performance of our solution.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands‑on experience with enterprise cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud) and their core services
• Proven experience deploying and managing production with OpenShift or Kubernetes and its ecosystem.
• Expertise in Terraform including module development, state management, and infrastructure testing
• Track record designing and enforcing security controls
• Proficiency in automation and DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, scripting, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, dynamic cloud environment.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in a regulated financial environment.
• Familiarity with IBM Cloud, Security & Compliance tools.
• Experience with policy as code tools (Kyverno, OPA Gatekeeper, ..)
• Familiarity with container security scanning tools
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Grafana, DataDog, Elastic, ..
• Knowledge of SIEM solutions and security monitoring tools.
