They combine hands-on engineering capability with architectural discipline and the maturity to operate in a regulated financial environment.

A highly experienced Azure architect who has designed enterprise-grade, secure, resilient cloud platforms. Someone who can operate confidently across architecture, engineering, governance, and DevOps, and who is comfortable mentoring teams while enforcing standards.

Technical Excellence

• Azure mastery — Expert-level knowledge of Azure services across compute, networking, identity, storage, security, and resilience.
• Infrastructure as Code — Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps pipelines, GitOps, automation patterns.
• Resilient architecture — Proven ability to design multi-region, fault-tolerant, DR-ready architectures with clear RTO/RPO strategies.
• Cloud governance — Deep understanding of landing zones, policies, RBAC, compliance, and enterprise guardrails.
• Security architecture — Strong grasp of identity, encryption, network segmentation, zero trust, and secure-by-design principles.
• Troubleshooting — Ability to diagnose complex cross-service issues in large-scale Azure environments.
• Enterprise architecture alignment — Comfortable collaborating with multiple architecture domains (Security, Infra, Network, Solution).
• Standards & patterns — Experience creating reference architectures, reusable patterns, and engineering guidelines.
• Documentation — Clear, structured documentation skills for standards, designs, and training materials.
• Mentoring — Able to coach engineering teams and uplift cloud maturity.
• Stakeholder communication — Strong communicator who can translate complex requirements into actionable designs.
• Governance participation — Comfortable presenting designs in architecture boards, security reviews, and compliance forums.

Mandatory Practical Requirements

• Based in Belgium (no exceptions).
• OK with 8 days/month on-site in Brussels.
