Manuport Logistics (MPL) in Antwerp seeks a CIO to lead our digital organization, strategy and portfolio across ERP, cloud, and customer portals. You will translate business priorities into digital decisions and set standards for architecture, risk and delivery at board level.

The role requires 10+ years in tech leadership, experience with enterprise systems, strong governance and budget responsibility, and fluency in English.

As CIO, you are responsible for MPL’s digital organization, strategy and roadmap. You bring structure to an international landscape covering enterprise platforms, ERP, business applications, custom software, integrations, customer-facing portals, cloud environments and external technology partners.

You are a strategic business leader with technology expertise. As part of the leadership team, you translate business priorities into digital decisions and challenge the organization on what technology can enable. You define where MPL should standardize, modernize, innovate, buy, partner or build, with a clear focus on business value, operational performance, customer experience, costs and risks.

You own the digital portfolio and budget. You create clear priorities and decision framework, build robust business cases and ensure investments deliver measurable outcomes. With more opportunities than available capacity, you know how to focus resources on what matters, challenge weak business cases and stop initiatives that no longer justify their investment.

You also own MPL’s digital environment and risk posture. You bring external providers, development partners and internal teams into a clear delivery model and hold them accountable for quality, cost, timing and results. You ensure cybersecurity, resilience and technology risk are embedded in architecture, sourcing and investment decisions.

As leader of the digital environment, you set the standard for leadership, accountability and execution. You develop multidisciplinary teams across engineering, applications, data, BI and security, and create strong connections between technology and the business. At the same time, you actively identify opportunities in data, AI and automation, turning them into focused initiatives with a clear business case and measurable impact.

You are an integrator and decision-maker who is comfortable operating at board level as well as challenging architects and technology specialists on substance. You do not need to write the code, but you need enough technical depth to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions and make decisions that stand up in practice.

Job Requirements

• 10+ years of technology leadership experience, including a significant CIO, CTO, IT Director or comparable role in an international organization.
• Proven experience managing complex enterprise technology landscapes, including ERP, business applications, integrations, custom software, customer portals and cloud.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, application strategy, IT governance and portfolio management.
• A track record of making investment decisions based on business cases, ROI, risk and strategic value.
• Executive-level experience managing digital budgets, selecting suppliers, and working with different technology partners.
• Experience with cybersecurity, information security, resilience and technology risk.
• Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary, digital teams.
• The ability to simplify complexity, create alignment and turn strategy into execution and measurable results.
• Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain or another operationally intensive environment is a strong advantage.
• Experience with the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure, Dynamics 365/Business Central and Power Platform, is a plus.
• Experience leading legacy modernization or major ERP/TMS transitions is highly valuable.
• Fluency in English, physical presence in our Antwerp HQ is required.
