Krka Belgium is seeking a Chief Accountant to ensure financial integrity and regulatory compliance for Belgian operations. You will manage accounting records, ensure accurate ERP data entry in Business Central/Navision, and prepare consolidated reports in line with local standards and IFRS.

You will lead or participate in inventories, monitor Belgian tax laws, support internal reporting, and guide transfer pricing.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience in accounting and finance, ideally in an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, IFRS, payroll, fixed assets.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French at an intermediate level is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Oversee documentation and financial control of accounting records (approval workflows, accuracy, reliability).
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry into ERP (Business Central/Navision).
• Record and reconcile business transactions.
• Monitor and apply Belgian tax laws and accounting standards (local and IFRS).
• Calculate taxes and oversee financial operations.
• Manage cash transactions and payroll processes.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) per local standards, IFRS, and Krka policies.
• Support consolidation packages and internal reporting.
• Lead or participate in annual inventory processes.
• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies.
• Provide guidance for monitoring business events and financial procedures.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As Chief Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of our operations in Belgium. Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the documentation and financial control of accounting records (approval workflows, accuracy, reliability, etc.)
• Ensuring timely and accurate data entry into our ERP system (Business Central/ Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision)
• Recording and reconciling business transactions
• Monitoring and applying relevant tax laws and accounting standards (local and IFRS)
• Calculating taxes, charges, and overseeing financial operations
• Managing cash transactions and payroll processes
• Preparing comprehensive financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) in accordance with local standards, IFRS, and Krka Group policies
• Supporting the preparation of consolidation packages and internal reporting
• Leading or participating in annual inventory processes
• Ensuring compliance with transfer pricing policies
• Providing guidance and instructions for monitoring business events and financial procedures

What We Expect

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in accounting and finance, preferably in an international environment
• Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, IFRS, payroll, fixed assets, and material management
• Experience with timely and accurate financial reporting
• In-depth understanding of Belgian tax and financial legislation
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Business Central/Navision is a plus)
• Fluency in Dutch and English (a working knowledge of French at an intermediate level is desirable)
