Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Start-Up Engineer to support CAR-T manufacturing initiatives in Ghent, Belgium. You will join the Build Operations team, implementing technology and process improvements to prepare the CAR-VYKTI footprint for future scale, focusing on ramp-up, optimization, and compliance.

You will collaborate with Operations, Quality and MSAT to drive projects that ensure regulatory readiness, cost efficiency, and quality across CAR-T manufacturing sites in EMEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g., Engineering, Bioscience, Pharmacy, Biochemistry) or equivalent experience.
• Relevant project management and GMP/regulatory experience is valued.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) required.

Responsabilités

• Act as Project Lead to implement Major Strategic Programs and manage project risks.
• Represent Operations in Process Design and ensure alignment with site strategy for CAR-T Tech Lane and Beerse.
• Develop budget plan and manage budget during project execution.
• Ensure facility and operational readiness in line with implementation plan.
• Ensure quality and compliance, including change controls and audits.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with QA, QC, MSAT, EHS, IT and external partners.
