Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Start-Up Engineer to join the Build Operations team in Gent area, Belgium. You will implement technology and process improvements for the CAR-T manufacturing process across EMEA, driving ramp-up, compliance, and cost-driven projects.

You will lead strategic programs, manage budgets, ensure audits readiness, and collaborate across QA, QC, MSAT, EHS, IT and external partners to align with site strategies for CAR-T tech lanes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in a scientific/technical field; Master’s may reduce experience needs.
• 4–6 years in pharma manufacturing, operations, or project management, preferably aseptic.
• Strong communication, ability to influence stakeholders and prioritize tasks.
• English proficiency required; GMP/regulatory environments preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead major strategic programs and manage project risks.
• Represent Operations in Process Design and align with site strategy.
• Develop and manage project budgets and ensure regulatory readiness.
• Ensure facility readiness and compliance, including change controls and audits.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with QA/QC, MSAT, EHS, IT and external partners.
