Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a CAPEX Project Manager to lead major industrial investment projects within a highly regulated manufacturing environment in Belgium. You will drive execution from installation through commissioning, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring safety, time, budget and quality compliance.

You will partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, Validation and EHS teams to deliver successful project outcomes, while promoting a strong safety culture and effective governance

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering industrial CAPEX projects.
• Strong experience managing execution and commissioning phases of complex projects.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution from installation through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate teams across internal, engineering partners, suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure projects delivered safely, on time, within budget and quality requirements.
• Act as central point of coordination between project teams, offices, suppliers and site operations.
• Drive EHS leadership and safety-focused culture across all activities.
• Manage governance and communication from Steering Committees to project meetings.
• Coordinate engineering, construction, validation and commissioning activities.
• Monitor schedules, milestones, risks and mitigation plans.
• Manage project documentation, changes and deviations.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Validation and EHS teams.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and ensure alignment across contributors.

Your Responsibilities

As a CAPEX Project Manager, you will lead the execution and commissioning phases of major industrial investment projects within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

• Lead project execution from installation through commissioning and handover.
• Build, coordinate and motivate multidisciplinary teams composed of internal stakeholders, engineering partners, suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and according to quality requirements.
• Act as the central point of coordination between project teams, engineering offices, suppliers and site operations.
• Drive strong EHS leadership and promote a safety-first culture across all project activities.
• Manage project governance and communication at all levels, from Steering Committees to operational project meetings.
• Coordinate engineering, construction, qualification and commissioning activities.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, risks and mitigation plans.
• Ensure effective management of project documentation, technical changes and deviations.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Validation and EHS teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and ensure alignment across all project contributors.
• Support the introduction of new manufacturing capabilities and production assets.

Your Profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering industrial CAPEX projects.
• Strong experience managing execution and commissioning phases of complex projects.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong experience working with external suppliers, contractors and engineering companies.
• Proven ability to drive project execution in a structured and results-oriented manner.
• Strong EHS awareness and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech or highly regulated manufacturing sectors.
• Qualification and Validation experience.
• Experience with Engineering Change Control (eCC).
• Knowledge of quality systems and deviation management.
• Experience supporting packaging, filling, production line or manufacturing expansion projects.
• Previous experience managing large-scale industrial commissioning activities.
