Syngenia in Belgium is seeking a structural engineer to study and design high-voltage towers and modifications to existing structures. You will collaborate with internal designers and external offices to develop calculation models and technical solutions, aligning with project requirements and client needs.

The role involves preparing tender documentation, supporting procurement, validating manufactured towers, and providing technical construction support.

Qualifications

• You hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture or Physics.
• You have a strong interest in detailed engineering studies and structural calculations.
• You possess experience in the design and analysis of steel structures.
• You are proficient in engineering software, 3D design tools and finite element analysis software.
• You are familiar with structural design standards and codes, particularly Eurocodes.
• You demonstrate strong organizational skills, accountability and attention to technical detail.
• You work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
• You are fluent in French or Dutch, have a basic understanding of the other national language and communicate confidently in English.

Responsabilités

• You are responsible for the study and design of new high-voltage towers as well as modifications to existing structures.
• You perform specialized structural calculations and manage the planning and follow-up of engineering studies according to project requirements and client needs.
• You support internal designers and external engineering offices in developing calculation models and technical solutions.
• You prepare technical tender documentation and participate in procurement activities.
• You validate and approve manufactured towers and structures at supplier facilities or within testing environments.
• You provide technical support during construction and contribute to work preparation together with project managers, contractors, suppliers and clients.
• You ensure quality follow-up, perform technical inspections and prepare the associated reports.
• You contribute to the optimization and implementation of calculation methodologies within the engineering software tools used.
