Job summary

EMW, Inc. in Mons, Belgium, is seeking a Senior Technician (Innovation and Continuous Improvement) to drive operational alignment and support project transitions to Service Operations.

You will work with stakeholders to define requirements, prepare acceptance criteria, monitor transition activities, and deputize for senior staff as needed. The role requires active NATO SECRET clearance, vocational training with 2+ years post-related experience or equivalent, and strong ITIL Service Operations

Qualifications

• Active NATO SECRET security clearance required
• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post-related experience or secondary qualification with 4 years post-related experience
• Experience implementing ITIL Service Operations processes, preferably in an Operations Centre environment
• Experience in large corporate environments with matrixed structures
• Familiarity with analyzing business processes, project management and documentation
• Knowledge of Telecommunications/Network/IT solutions and products
• Desirable: PRINCE2/Agile PM, ITIL CSI or Six Sigma Green belt
• International experience with military and civilian environments and NATO structure familiarity

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in operational requirement alignment and planning phases of projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define the project support model and requirements.
• Coordinate and follow up activities for projects transitioning to Service Operations.
• Prepare and maintain acceptance criteria for transitions to Service Operations.
• Review project deliverables against acceptance criteria and operational requirements.
• Review documentation to assess alignment with service operation requirements and provide comments.
• Monitor transition activities and follow up on actions, dependencies and items.
• Engage stakeholders throughout transition activities and deputize for higher-grade staff when required.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Duties & Role:

• Actively participate in operational requirement alignment and planning phases of projects.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to support the definition of the project support model and associated requirements.
• Contribute to the coordination and follow-up of activities required for projects transitioning to Service Operations.
• Prepare and maintain acceptance criteria for projects transitioning to Service Operations.
• Support the review of project deliverables against acceptance criteria and operational requirements.
• Review relevant project documentation to assess alignment with service operation requirements and provide comments and recommendations.
• Monitor project transition activities and follow up on identified actions, dependencies and outstanding items.
• Ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement and communication throughout project transition activities.Deputise for higher-grade staff, if required.
• Perform other duties as may be required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience.
• Practical experience in the implementation of ITIL Service Operations processes, preferably in an Operations Centre environment.
• Experience working in a large corporate environment with matrixed structures.
• Familiarity with analysing and reviewing business processes, project management, and preparing business documentation.
• Exposure to assessing feasibility of business process changes and recommending new approaches.
• Good knowledge and experience of Telecommunications/Network/Information Technology solutions and products.

Desirable Experience and Education:

• PRINCE2 Foundation or Agile PM or equivalent
• ITIL V3 or 4 Foundation or equivalent
• ITIL CSI or Six Sigma Green belt or equivalent
• Business Analysis Management or equivalent
• Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;
• Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT.
