LAMBDA-X (www.lambda-x.com) “High-Tech” division provides state-of-the-art optical technologies and engineering services for customized optical systems. Our mission is to be the trusted partner in the field of optics for the deployment of innovation programs, from concepts to production through prototyping.
We focus on high-tech innovation industries active in building a Better Environment (space and defense), Healthier World (life sciences, medical technology) and more Robust Processes (scientific, metrology and quality control equipment).

Your challenges as a Business Development Manager (Life Sciences & Industry)
- Under the supervision of the Business Line Officer (BLO) and in close collaboration with the engineering teams, you are responsible to develop the portfolio of high-tech B2B customers and associated sales, with a main focus on Europe & USA.
- You promote a unique method of selling innovation services.
- You develop customer relations and promote Lambda-X services through networking, prospecting missions, participation in international trade fairs and shows, setting-up and implementing digital marketing techniques.
- You respond to inquiries and quotation requests, explore new opportunities with existing clients and spot new business opportunities by analyzing the market trends and competition.
- You manage key accounts and customers satisfaction through adequate communication and meeting management.
- You ensure sales process internally in good coherence with the company’s EN9100 quality system and customers’ expectations.
- You actively contribute to the pleasant working atmosphere and share your ideas to improve ways of working leading to company success.

Your background and skills
- Engineering degree: biomedical, product development, mechanics … with basic knowledge in optics.
- Strongly motivated by industrial sales, bringing 10 years of professional experience, complemented by business development responsibilities within a service- and engineering-focused environment.
- Talented commercial person with an existing network, in innovation-driven markets.
- Used to build relationships with C-level management.
- Fluency in English is an absolute must. the practice of French, Dutch or German is a real asset.
- Eager to learn about optical technologies and new product development strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to quickly build trust, innovation mindset and positive attitude.
