Studio Voorjans, an internationally active interior design studio based in Antwerp, seeks a freelance Business Development & Finance Coordinator to support and grow the business and financial side of the studio. The role combines business development, finance and project control with autonomy and room for initiative.

You will identify opportunities, engage partners, prepare proposals, and help shape collaborations while managing budgets and financial conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, finance, project control, account management or a comparable role.
• Comfortable working with budgets, financial information and commercial agreements.
• Proactive, accurate and highly organized; able to set up structure.
• Professional proficiency in Dutch and English.
• Affinity with interior design, architecture, hospitality, luxury, art or creative industries.

Studio Voorjans is looking for a freelance Business Development & Finance Coordinator to support and further develop the business and financial side of our internationally active interior design studio.

We are looking for someone who understands numbers, but also sees opportunities. Someone who can bring structure to budgets and agreements, while being equally comfortable identifying a potential partner, initiating a conversation or helping shape a new collaboration.

The role combines business development, finance and project control, with a high level of autonomy and room for initiative.

The role

You will:

• identify new business opportunities and potential collaborations in Belgium and internationally;
• proactively approach selected companies, brands, hospitality groups, real estate developers and other potential partners;
• follow up new leads and enquiries, from first contact to proposal and agreement;
• prepare commercial proposals, collaboration models and agreements;
• help define financial conditions and fee structures;
• monitor project budgets, costs and financial commitments;
• prepare financial analyses and post-project calculations;
• support financial administration and reporting in coordination with management and external accounting partners.

This is not a traditional cold-sales role. The focus is on targeted, high-quality business development and building relevant, long-term relationships.

Ideally, you:

• have relevant experience in business development, finance, project control, account management or a comparable role;
• are comfortable working with budgets, financial information and commercial agreements;

• feel confident approaching companies and senior decision-makers;
• have professional proficiency in Dutch and English;
• have an affinity with interior design, architecture, hospitality, luxury, art or the creative industries.

We are not looking for a purely accounting profile, but for someone who combines financial insight with commercial curiosity and entrepreneurship.

The collaboration

We offer a varied freelance collaboration for approximately 2 days per week, working closely with the Studio Voorjans team in Antwerp.

The role offers a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to help shape and develop the business side of the studio. As you get to know our projects and network, we encourage you to spot opportunities, make connections and bring forward ideas of your own.
