Business Analyst (Expert) - BNP Paribas Fortis

The Tribe Invest & Financial Insurances is responsible for investment products distributed by BNP Paribas Fortis and for end-to-end solutions serving the bank’s clients. The team is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with knowledge of Retail Banking, Private Banking and Securities Handling. The assignment focuses on developing new Investment Services and ensuring their regulatory compliance. The role is based in Brussels.

The consultant will collaborate with the Product Owner and the custody squad on event and position management. Key work includes determining business and functional requirements for SRD 2 compliance, performing impact analysis, and detailing business, regulatory, legal and process requirements. The consultant will refine solutions and estimates with the Product Owner and ensure development teams have the information they need. The role also includes agile ceremonies and regular status reporting across the Tribe.

The Business Analyst will lead change activities covering launch, go-to-market and IT release. The consultant will gather, understand and challenge needs from internal and external stakeholders, including Sales, Legal and Compliance. The profile requires at least six years of relevant business analysis and securities-handling experience, investment product knowledge and agile project-management experience. Strong communication, analytical, negotiation and independent-working skills are also required.
