Amaris Consulting is seeking an IT Business Analyst to join our Brussels team under the VIE programme. You will translate business needs into functional specs and user stories, collaborating with Product Owners, developers, and QA across the project life cycle.

You will model processes with BPMN/UML, support UAT, and ensure traceability from requirements to delivered solutions. French and English fluency are mandatory, and a relocation to Brussels is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or Consultant.
• Knowledge of business analysis techniques, requirements engineering, and functional documentation.
• Experience writing user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, or similar collaboration tools.
• Knowledge of BPMN, UML, or other business process modelling techniques.
• Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and functional validation.
• Exposure to digital transformation, enterprise applications, or system implementation projects is considered an asset.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, APIs, or data analysis is a plus.
• Fluent in French and English (mandatory).
• Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
• Motivated to relocate to Brussels under the VIE programme.

Responsabilités

• Gather, analyze, and challenge business requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, QA Engineers, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze and optimize business processes using BPMN, UML, or similar modelling techniques.
• Support solution design by identifying opportunities for process improvement and digital transformation.
• Maintain end-to-end traceability between business requirements, functional specifications, and delivered solutions.
• Prepare and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validate delivered functionalities, and support issue resolution.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and ensure effective communication between business and technical teams.
• Contribute to delivering scalable, user-centric, and high-quality digital solutions.
