Twenty8, an independent IT services firm, seeks a Java Developer to support a prestigious European Institution in Brussels. You will develop, maintain, and enhance Java applications, focusing on secure authentication, REST/SOAP services, and scalable architecture.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to Agile practices, and producing clear technical documentation. Hybrid work with on-site presence in Brussels at least 3 days per week is expected.

Qualifications

University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Framework.
Experience with REST/SOAP Web Services and system integration.
Understanding of web security using OAuth/OpenID Connect.
Experience with SQL and relational databases.
Experience with development tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, SonarQube and GitHub.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent command of English.

Responsabilités

Develop, maintain and enhance software applications using Java technologies and modern development frameworks.
Design, build and integrate software components while ensuring code quality, scalability and maintainability.
Develop secure applications by implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID Connect).
Design and consume REST and/or SOAP Web Services.
Troubleshoot, debug and resolve software issues while improving application performance.
Produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
Participate in system integration, deployment and configuration activities.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams following Agile methodologies and software development best practices.
