Job summary

Pauwels Consulting seeks an expert to drive the Data Retention Initiative as part of our enterprise data strategy in Brussels. You will define end-to-end lifecycle management and implement retention policies across business units and information domains.

You will lead cross-functional delivery with senior stakeholders, perform technology assessments, and oversee archival and data expiry configurations in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Leads Data Retention Initiative and turns information policies into operational practice.
• Defines and executes end-to-end Data Lifecycle Management plans across units and systems.
• Translates GDPR and NIS 2 into actionable retention and deletion obligations.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of Data Retention Initiative across business units.
• Define end-to-end lifecycle management plans for information across systems.
• Engage senior stakeholders to manage cross-functional delivery.
• Oversee archival jobs, data-expiry configuration, scripting, and integration.
• Perform technology assessments, RFP selections, and tool implementations for information governance.
