Job summary

Nexin Agency in Belgium is seeking a hands-on Medior / Senior BizTalk & .NET Developer to join the internal IT team. You will design, develop and maintain integrations using BizTalk Server 2020 and C#/.NET, and work with XML, XSD, JSON, REST/SOAP.

You'll translate business requirements, monitor interfaces, support production incidents, and contribute to code reviews, deployments, and documentation. On-site presence in Belgium with some homeworking, multilingual environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven in BizTalk and C#/NET development and support, ideally BizTalk Server 2020.
• Strong skills in XML/XSD, XSLT, JSON, and REST/SOAP services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain BizTalk integrations with C#/.NET.
• Create and maintain schemas, maps, orchestrations, pipelines and adapters.
• Develop .NET components and REST/SOAP integrations; work with XML, XSD, XSLT and JSON.

To strengthen the internal IT team, our client is looking for a Medior / Senior BIZTALK & .NET Developer (minimum 5 years of experience).

Your Role:

You will join an experienced internal IT department (infrastructure + development) and actively contribute to the evolution of business-critical applications.

• You will: Design, develop and maintain integrations using Microsoft BizTalk Server 2020 and C#/.NET.
• Create and maintain schemas, maps, orchestrations, pipelines, ports and adapter configurations.
• Develop .NET components, services and REST/SOAP integrations; work with XML, XSD, XSLT and JSON.
• Write and optimize SQL Server queries and stored procedures, and implement validation, error handling and logging.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with business analysts and application owners.

Day to Day Support

• Monitor interfaces and application health; investigate failed exchanges, suspended messages and processing delays.
• Handle daily support requests and production incidents, prioritize business impact and keep users informed.
• Diagnose issues across BizTalk, .NET, SQL Server and connected systems; coordinate resolution with IT teams and external partners.
• Restore processing safely, including controlled message resubmission, and investigate root causes to prevent recurring incidents.
• Maintain support procedures, runbooks and incident records; turn recurring problems into permanent improvements.

Quality and Delivery

• Test integrations and .NET changes, including failure scenarios, and contribute to code reviews.
• Manage source code in Git and support deployments with environment-specific configurations and rollback procedures.
• Document interfaces and technical changes, and share knowledge with colleagues.

You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and operational teams. As a BizTalk and .NET developer, you will work in tandem with another colleague

Your Profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development, including proven experience developing and supporting Microsoft BizTalk and C#/.NET solutions, ideally with BizTalk Server 2020.
• Strong C# and .NET Framework skills, with hands-on experience in Visual Studio.
• Practical knowledge of BizTalk messaging, routing, promoted properties, maps, orchestrations and pipelines.
• Experience with XML/XSD, XSLT, JSON, REST/SOAP services and adapters such as SFTP and WCF-SQL.
• Solid SQL Server skills and experience troubleshooting integration or application issues in production.
• Experience with Git, testing and structured deployment practices.
• Ability and willingness to combine development work with daily application support.
• Proven use of AI tools in software development, such as coding assistants for implementation, testing, debugging and documentation, with critical review of generated output and respect for data confidentiality.
• Fluent in Dutch or French, with a good working command of English.

Additional Assets

• Experience with SAP integrations, EDI/AS2 or other enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of modern .NET, ASP.NET Core, Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus or API Management.
• Experience with CI/CD, PowerShell, monitoring tools, or Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of Broadcom Automic for scheduling and monitoring automated jobs and workflows.
