Job summary

UCB in Belgium seeks an experienced Media, Buffer & Logistics (MBL) Bio DS Operations Quality Manager to oversee quality for media, buffer prep, storage, and local logistics at the Braine campus. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, master’s degree or education in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven experience in logistics within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
• Fluent English & French communication (oral and written).
• Prior people management experience is a strong asset.
• Experience with SAP and understanding of its functionalities.
• On-site presence required, ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes.
• Demonstrated experience in audit and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead and manage the MBL Quality Operations team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Ensure day-to-day quality oversight of operations by GMP Facilitators and QA peers.
• Oversee deviations, CAPA, batch review, and change control processes.
• Release MB manufacturing batch documentation and ensure regulatory readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Manufacturing, MSAT, QA Support, Regulatory).
• Lead quality governance and support new product introductions in MBL production.
• Drive continuous improvement and inspector readiness for the site.
