Vivid Resourcing is recruiting a Data Engineer for a Fintech partner to design and maintain scalable data infrastructure, enabling data-driven decisions and AI initiatives. You will work with cloud technologies in a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities include building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes/warehouses, and modern data platforms, while ensuring data quality, governance, and CI/CD practices. Fluent English and hybrid work in Kortrijk/Merelbeke are required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP; fluent in English.

As a Data Engineer within a Fintech company, you'll be responsible designing and maintaining scalable data infrastructure, enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting next-generation AI applications. You'll work with modern cloud technologies in a collaborative engineering environment where innovation and continuous learning are encouraged.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Develop and optimize cloud-based data lakes, data warehouses, and modern data platforms.
• Integrate data from APIs, databases, SaaS applications, and streaming sources.
• Design reliable and scalable data models to support analytics and business intelligence.
• Implement best practices for data quality, governance, monitoring, and orchestration.
• Build and maintain robust data infrastructure that supports AI and machine learning initiatives.
• Contribute to cloud-native development, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure improvements.

What We're Looking For

• 2–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Microsoft Fabric, or similar modern data platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of Apache Spark and modern data platform architectures.
• Experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD, and Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent in English.
