Job summary

BNP Paribas Fortis is seeking a Data Scientist with at least 3 years of experience to build AI applications, including generative and traditional AI. You will work on AI-driven client interactions and internal tooling, collaborating in an Agile team and presenting results to stakeholders.

You bring a Master’s in a quantitative field with NLP focus, strong Python skills, and fluency in English with knowledge of French and/or Dutch.

Qualifications

• Master's in a quantitative field with NLP focus; PhD advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years in data science; financial sector experience preferred.
• Fluent in English with French and/or Dutch as well.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI applications addressing business challenges, incl. AI assistants and internal process automation.
• Apply large language models, Speech AI, image interpretation, and traditional ML techniques.
• Ensure robust methodologies and data-centric evaluation for generalization.
• Present results to stakeholders and managers.
• Contribute to deploying AI in production using a full tooling stack.
• Work in an Agile team and collaborate with peers.
