Job summary

Centrica Energy in Belgium is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to help unify and evolve our platforms. You will design backend services in .NET C#, build desktop apps with WPF, and drive cloud-native solutions on AWS and Kubernetes.

You’ll mentor engineers, shape architecture, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable systems. Candidates should have deep experience with distributed systems, modern DevOps, and databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL and MSSQL.

Qualifications

• Significant experience developing enterprise applications using .NET C#.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, system design, and DevOps.
• Proven experience designing distributed systems with scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and enhancement of backend services and APIs using .NET C#.
• Drive architectural decisions to ensure scalable, secure and maintainable solutions.
• Build and enhance desktop applications using WPF and integrate systems via modern Web APIs.
• Develop resilient cloud-native solutions using AWS, Kubernetes and modern databases.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering excellence through code reviews and testing practices.
