Job summary

Neurho Solutions in Belgium is seeking an Azure Data Engineer to design and implement a modern data platform. You will build pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Databricks and related services, enable self-service analytics, and promote data governance.

You will collaborate with data analysts and data scientists, optimize performance and costs, and document data flows and architectures. A strong Azure/Data/Power BI background and English fluency are required, with Dutch or French at high level.

Qualifications

• Azure data architecture expertise.
• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Proficient in Databricks and Unity Catalog.
• Advanced Power BI skills.
• Programming in Python; Spark and SQL proficiency.
• Fluent English (C1); Dutch or French (C2).
• At least seven years as a Data Engineer and degree in CS/Data Engineering.
• Azure certifications or Databricks certification are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Databricks and other Azure services.
• Implement Data Lake, Delta Lake and Lakehouse architectures and industrialise new business use cases.
• Help manage Unity Catalog, including catalogues, schemas, permissions, data sharing and governance.
• Support the development of self-service data capabilities.
• Monitor and optimise platform performance, consumption and costs.
• Automate data ingestion, transformation and deployment.
• Work with data analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders.
• Document data flows, architecture and practices, and improve the platform continuously.
