Job summary

Meerab Group in Brussels is seeking an Azure Data Engineer fluent in French or Dutch to design and build scalable data pipelines on Azure. You will work with Data Factory, Databricks, and Delta Lake to enable governance and self-service analytics.

You will implement Data Lake architectures, manage costs, and collaborate with data analysts and scientists to translate business needs into reliable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a data engineering role.
• Strong experience with Azure services (Data Factory, Databricks, Storage, SQL, Key Vault, DevOps) and Unity Catalog.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, PySpark, and Delta Lake.
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles, monitoring, performance tuning, and cost optimization in Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other Azure services.
• Implement modern data architectures such as Data Lake, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse.
• Develop and industrialize new business use cases and self-service data strategies.
• Contribute to the implementation and management of Databricks Unity Catalog, including governance and permissions.
• Monitor, optimize, and cost-manage Azure and Databricks performance.
• Automate data ingestion, transformation, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders.
• Document data flows, architecture, and best practices.
