Brainbridge IT Staffing is assisting in filling a Senior AWS Security Architect role for a major international organisation based in Brussels. The candidate will shape the AWS Security Architecture, establish standards and reusable patterns, and guide teams across Cloud, DevOps and DevSecOps disciplines.

The role requires deep AWS security expertise, the ability to translate risk and compliance into concrete controls, and strong English communication skills in a global setting.

Qualifications

• Experience defining security architectures, standards and reusable patterns.
• Strong knowledge of AWS IAM, network security and data security.
• Experience with AWS Security Hub and GuardDuty, logging and monitoring.
• Knowledge of encryption, key management and secrets management.
• Experience with vulnerability and patch management.
• Ability to collaborate with Cloud, DevOps and DevSecOps teams.
• Excellent English communication skills.

• Define and maintain AWS Security Architecture, standards and reference architectures.
• Design reusable security patterns for IAM, networking, encryption, monitoring, vulnerability management and resilience.
• Translate cybersecurity, risk and compliance requirements into technical controls.
• Review AWS and application architectures for security gaps.
• Guide Cloud, DevOps and DevSecOps teams during implementation.
• Define standards for IAM, privileged access and least privilege.
• Design encryption, key management and secrets management approaches.
• Define logging, monitoring, alerting and threat-detection architectures.
• Contribute to vulnerability management, backup and business continuity.
• Document architectural decisions and implementation guidelines.

For a major international organisation based in Brussels, we are looking for a Senior AWS Security Architect to strengthen its Cloud Security Architecture.

You will define and guide the organisation’s AWS Security Architecture, establishing security principles, standards and reusable architectural patterns. This is a technical architecture role, requiring strong AWS expertise and the ability to translate security and compliance requirements into concrete, implementable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain AWS Security Architecture, standards and reference architectures.
• Design reusable security patterns for IAM, networking, encryption, monitoring, vulnerability management and resilience.
• Translate cybersecurity, risk and compliance requirements into technical controls.
• Review AWS and application architectures and identify security risks and control gaps.
• Guide Cloud, DevOps and DevSecOps teams during implementation.
• Define standards for IAM, privileged access and least privilege.
• Design approaches for encryption, key management and secrets management.
• Define logging, monitoring, alerting and threat-detection architectures.
• Contribute to vulnerability management, backup, recovery and business continuity.

Required Profile

• Strong professional experience with AWS Cloud Architecture.
• Proven AWS Security Architecture experience.
• Experience defining security architectures, standards and reusable patterns.
• Strong knowledge of AWS IAM, network security and data security.
• Experience with AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, logging and monitoring.
• Knowledge of encryption, key management and secrets management.
• Experience with vulnerability and patch management.
• Experience working with Cloud Engineering, DevOps and/or DevSecOps teams.
• Ability to combine strategic Security Architecture with technical implementation.
• Strong communication skills in English.
