afarax is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer to strengthen our team in the Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage sector. You will design, deploy and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure.

You will build cloud landing zones, automate provisioning with Terraform and CloudFormation, implement CI/CD with GitOps, and ensure high availability, DR and operational resilience.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering or DevOps.
Minimum 3 years of hands‑on AWS Cloud experience.
Strong experience designing and operating production AWS environments.
Experience managing enterprise infrastructure within large organizations.
Experience collaborating with Infrastructure, Security and Operations teams.

The project:

Our client in the Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage sector, is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer to strengthen their team.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy and maintain secure, scalable and resilient AWS infrastructure.
Build and manage cloud landing zones following enterprise architecture and security standards.
Implement highly available networking, compute, storage and platform services.
Support infrastructure modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery and operational resilience of cloud platforms.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management and lifecycle management.
Standardize reusable infrastructure modules and deployment templates.
Promote Infrastructure as Code best practices across engineering teams.

DevOps & CI/CD

Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure and application deployments.
Automate build, deployment and release processes.
Implement GitOps practices and deployment automation.
Improve deployment reliability, consistency and rollback capabilities.

Cloud Operations & Platform Engineering

Manage AWS platform services including networking, identity, monitoring and security.
Monitor cloud infrastructure health, availability and capacity.
Implement proactive monitoring, alerting and observability using CloudWatch and related tooling.
Support incident management, root cause analysis and continuous service improvement.

Security & Compliance

Implement cloud security best practices and AWS Well-Architected Framework recommendations.
Configure IAM policies, security groups, VPCs and network segmentation.
Support vulnerability remediation and infrastructure hardening.
Ensure compliance with internal security standards and governance policies.

Performance & Cost Optimisation

Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability and cost efficiency.
Monitor cloud consumption and recommend optimization opportunities.
Support FinOps initiatives and cloud governance.

Is this you?

Required Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering or DevOps.
Minimum 3 years of hands‑on AWS Cloud experience.
Strong experience designing and operating production AWS environments.
Experience managing enterprise infrastructure within large organizations.
Experience collaborating with Infrastructure, Security and Operations teams.
