You will join AGC Glass Europe’s Pulsaart team near Brussels, developing and testing advanced glass-based automotive antennas and phased array solutions for satellite communications. The role focuses on RF design, beamforming, and integration of antennas into automotive glass within a demanding, international context.

Based at AGC’s Technovation Centre near Brussels, you will work with RF engineers and technicians, contributing to innovation from concept to pre-industrialization and IP

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in electromagnetics, RF engineering, telecommunications, or a related field.
• Proven hands-on experience in electromagnetics and antenna arrays.
• In-depth knowledge of beamforming theory, phased array antennas, and digital beamforming techniques.
• Proficiency with simulation and data processing tools such as Feko, HFSS, CST, MATLAB, Python, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with PCB design software.
• Experience with antenna measurement techniques, including anechoic chambers, near-field, and far-field measurements, is an asset.
• Familiarity with RF instrumentation and front-end systems would be an additional asset.

Responsabilités

• Identify, define, and monitor new antenna technologies to be developed for the automotive and mobility markets, in line with our strategic roadmap
• Conceptualize, simulate, prototype, and test innovative antenna concepts integrated into glass or other relevant materials
• Explore disruptive antenna architectures suitable for automotive satellite communication applications
• Contribute to the development of phased array antenna solutions, including beam steering and satellite tracking capabilities
• Lead innovation projects up to the pre-industrial stage
• Define target specifications, performance requirements, and validation criteria
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept demonstrators to validate innovative antenna solutions
• Define the bill of materials and target cost assumptions to support the business case
• Propose pre-industrialization scenarios, including recommended manufacturing technologies, process constraints, and early quality requirements
• Report and present innovation results to internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners
• Contribute to IP surveys, technology watch, and competitive intelligence activities
• Contribute to IP brainstorming sessions and invention disclosures
• Support the protection of team inventions through patent applications
• Access state-of-the-art tools, including RF simulation software and large anechoic chambers capable of measuring full vehicles across broad frequency ranges
