Jobtailor seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to drive end-to-end automation initiatives in Belgium’s manufacturing environments. You will own projects from concept through design, collaborating with engineering and operations to deliver validated, scalable solutions.

We value strong Lean process knowledge, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate operational needs into effective technical designs. Fluent English is required; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent through experience.
• 3+ years in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record delivering automation/engineering projects.
• Exposure to industrial automation systems and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of processes and analytical thinking.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsabilités

• Drive automation initiatives from concept through solution definition.
• Take ownership of automation projects during concept and design phases.
• Develop deep understanding of end-to-end processes.
• Challenge practices using Lean principles to identify improvements.
• Manage scope, planning, resources, risks, and dependencies.
• Monitor progress and communicate status at program level.
• Deliver well-defined, validated projects ready for execution by engineering teams.
