Univercells Technologies, part of Donaldson's Life Sciences division, seeks an Automation Engineer to enhance automation system reliability and provide essential support for growing operations. The role requires collaboration across cross-functional teams, with emphasis on GMP/GAMP and regulatory compliance.

You will troubleshoot PLC/SCADA/HMI, drive improvements, and deliver training and documentation to ensure robust, scalable automation solutions in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• ≥2 years in a highly regulated industry (biotech/pharma/food/chemicals).
• Proficient in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal) and/or SCADA (Wonderware ArchestrA).
• Strong communication and collaboration; fluent in English and French.

Responsabilités

• Support and improve the performance and maintainability of automation systems already in the field.
• Troubleshoot issues involving PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems, and drive root cause investigations.
• Collaborate with service and support teams to resolve customer-reported issues and develop effective solutions.
• Provide training and technical documentation to support cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to product documentation and ensure compliance with GMP, GAMP, FDA, and other regulatory standards.
• Participate in automation system improvements, contributing ideas to enhance standardization, modularity, and usability.

Role Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent through experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a highly regulated industry such as biotech, pharma, food, or chemicals.
• Proficient in PLC programming (preferably Siemens TIA Portal) and / or SCADA systems such as Wonderware Archestra.
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with clear communication and a collaborative approach.
• Fluent in English and French

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with commercialized automation products in a life cycle management context.
• Familiarity with quality systems and cross-functional collaboration in regulated environments.
• An understanding of industrial electricity and instrumentation.
