Donaldson is seeking an Automation Engineer to enhance the reliability of our automation systems within our Belgian operations. You will support field systems, troubleshoot PLC/SCADA/HMI, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant solutions.

The ideal candidate has a degree in automation or industrial engineering, at least two years in regulated industries, and fluent English and French. This role offers a long-term contract, health insurance and meal vouchers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years in a highly regulated industry such as biotech, pharma, food, or chemicals.
• Proficient in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal) and/or SCADA systems such as Wonderware ArchestrA.
• Good communication and collaborative approach.
• Fluent in English and French.

Responsabilités

• Support and improve the performance and maintainability of automation systems in the field.
• Troubleshoot issues involving PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems, and drive root cause investigations.
• Collaborate with service and support teams to resolve customer-reported issues and develop effective solutions.
• Provide training and technical documentation to support cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to product documentation and ensure GMP/GAMP/FDA regulatory compliance.
• Participate in automation system improvements to enhance standardization and modularity.

Role Responsibilities

• Support and improve the performance and maintainability of automation systems already in the field
• Troubleshoot issues involving PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems, and drive root cause investigations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent through experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a highly regulated industry such as biotech, pharma, food, or chemicals.
• Proficient in PLC programming (preferably Siemens TIA Portal) and / or SCADA systems such as Wonderware Archestra.
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with clear communication and a collaborative approach.
• Fluent in English and French

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with commercialized automation products in a life cycle management context.
• Familiarity with quality systems and cross-functional collaboration in regulated environments.
• An understanding of industrial electricity and instrumentation.
