Job summary

IBA Group in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join the R&D team within the RadioPharma Solutions unit. You will participate in lifecycle phases of product development, from upgrade management on installed bases to new product development and site deployments, contributing to high-quality control systems.

The role requires 5 years in automation, proficiency with Wonderware Intouch, PLC programming (Siemens STEP7/TIA Portal, B&R), and strong documentation

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or automation.
• Minimum 5 years of automation experience (development and support).
• Analytical and critical mindset with schedule awareness.
• Team player with a creative mindset.
• Experience with Wonderware SCADA (Intouch).
• Willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
• PLC & Safety PLC programming with Siemens STEP7/TIA Portal and B&R.
• Industrial communications using Profibus-DP, PROFINET, S7, and other protocols.
• Willing to travel 10-20% internationally.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the implementation, support and quality of the complete control system solution.
• Document the control system implementation.
• Write, execute and maintain unit tests; define and execute integration tests.
• Develop software solutions by understanding and challenging business needs.
• Support internal and external customers.
• Deploy and upgrade control systems on site and in factory.
• Provide and respect workload and deadline estimations.
• Review outcomes produced by other team members and propose improvements. Support team and feature, by providing one’s own expertise according to one’s domain
• Follow best practices and rules defined at IBA. Challenge them and propose improvements

Mission

As a member of the Research and Development team (team of experts and project manager)) in the RadioPharma Solutions Business Unit, you will be involved in various lifecycle phases of product development (in particular upgrade management on installed base, from scratch development for new product, new site deployement,…).
