OPENLANE Europe is seeking an Auction Specialist for our Düsseldorf, Germany office. You will manage the end-to-end auction process, select vehicles, and prepare them for auction to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.

You will advise on auction strategy, pricing, and performance, monitor results, and maintain strong relationships with sellers across designated markets. A commercial mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work cross-functionally are essential.

• 0–3 years experience in automotive industry or automotive remarketing/leasing companies.

What are we looking for?

As an Auction Specialist at our office in Düsseldorf (Germany), you are responsible for the management, follow-up, and operational execution of vehicle auctions, with the goal of maximizing sales results and customer satisfaction.

You work closely with a diverse portfolio of sellers, including traders, fleet owners, leasing companies, rental companies, and OEMs. By providing advice on auction strategy, pricing, and performance, you help customers achieve the best possible results.

With your commercial mindset, eye for detail, and proactive approach, you monitor auction performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure a smooth and successful auction process from start to finish.

As a key member of the Auction team, you will:

Requirements

Who Are You?

• You have 0 - 3 years experience in the automotive industry or automotive remarketing / leasing companies.
• You are passionate about cars and stay informed on market trends and models.
• You possess strong analytical skills and a data-oriented mindset.
• You have a commercial spirit and enjoy regular contact with sellers via phone and email.
• You are flexible, resilient under pressure and skilled at managing priorities.
• You are process-oriented and continuously seek efficiency improvements.
• You are fluent in German and proficient in English. Knowledge of any other European languages is a plus.
