Alstom in Charleroi is seeking a full-time ATC System Designer to shape Automatic Train Control architectures and collaborate with Verification and Validation teams.

The role focuses on developing ATC trackside and trainborne components, leading design reviews, and ensuring configurations are test-ready.

You will work with diverse engineering teams to optimize safety and efficiency in rail operations, while contributing to cutting-edge mobility projects in Belgium.

Qualifications

• Degree in System Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with system specification and requirements development.
• Knowledge of ATC systems, including trackside and trainborne components.
• Familiarity with defect analysis and corrective actions.
• Strong software engineering methods for configuring ATC software.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to work transversally with engineering teams and coordinate autonomously.

Responsabilités

• Design ATC systems and provide related documentation (specifications, architectures, interfaces).
• Lead ATC design reviews and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Ensure ATC configurations are completed and ready for testing.
• Collaborate with Verification and Validation teams to address test outcomes.
• Define and assess interfaces within the ATC system.
• Balance technical risks and evaluate design trade-offs.
