Dentons Brussels office is seeking a qualified lawyer specializing in corporate tax law and international tax matters with about 2 years of professional experience. The role offers exposure to a diverse client base and a truly global firm environment.

You will work closely with Tax lawyers across sectors, handling both direct and cross-border taxation matters while developing your legal and interpersonal skills through ongoing training and feedback.

Qualifications

• Belgian qualified lawyer; LLM or equivalent is considered a bonus.
• Law degree backed by strong academic results.
• You are a native French or Dutch speaker, or perfectly bilingual. A working knowledge of English is required.

Overview

To support the development of our Tax practice in Brussels, we are currently seeking a qualified lawyer specializing in corporate tax law and international tax matters with about 2 years professional experience.

The lawyers and professionals in our Brussels office form a diverse group from multiple jurisdictions and with strong academic credentials. Committed to helping drive business growth for global and domestic companies, trade associations and governments, we help clients innovate their businesses. The Tax practice focuses on direct taxation for both private and corporate clients, covering complex domestic and cross-border tax matters.

About Role

The role will provide an opportunity to work in a growing team across a variety of corporate tax law and international tax matters. Some of the day-to-day tasks will include:

• As a member of our team, you will work for various clients in both the public and private sectors and will enjoy challenging work from day one, under the guidance of experienced Tax lawyers, accompanied and assisted by colleagues around the globe.
• You will be given responsibility and have direct client contact from day one.
• You will take part in marketing and business development initiatives, as well as internal programmes in a truly global Firm.
• You will have an opportunity to develop your legal, business and interpersonal skills through several training tools and direct feedback from experienced colleagues.

• You are a Belgian qualifier lawyer, an LLM or equivalent is considered a bonus
• You have a law degree backed by strong academic results
• You are a native French or Dutch speaker, or perfectly bilingual. A working knowledge of English is required
• You provide clear, precise, tailored service that supports clients in their day-to-day business, taking into account their needs and expectations
• You have a strong appetite to further develop yourself in a global setting, whilst working on Belgian law related files for local and foreign clients
