COSMOTE Global Solutions NV in Belgium is seeking an Application / Cloud Architect to design and oversee application architectures and cloud solutions for diverse clients. You will collaborate with project leaders, developers and stakeholders to ensure integrated, high‑performing systems.

The role requires a strong background in IT architecture, Java development, UML modelling, and EC corporate components, plus excellent communication in multilingual environments and ability to document

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field.
• 17+ years of total IT experience.
• At least 10 years of Java development experience.
• At least 5 years of UML modelling experience.
• At least 5 years of knowledge of EC corporate components of architecture (EU Login, EU Send, …).
• Extensive IT development and IT architecture experience.
• Excellent written and spoken communication in English.

Responsabilités

• Propose and document the architecture for the future Talent Pool, in alignment with reuse of existing components and building blocks.
• Ensure alignment between business needs and the architecture through documentation, presentations and workshops with stakeholders.
• Review technical analyses performed by external development partners and advise on estimates and decisions.
• Review proposals of DG EMPL for synergies with other IT systems and propose architectural options.
• Support the Project Manager in IT developments and architectural changes.
• Conduct risk and issue analysis and propose mitigation paths.
• Interact with other architects, business analysts, business owners, project managers and external teams.

COSMOTE Global Solutions NV is seeking a skilled Application / Cloud Architect to join our dynamic ICT team. As part of the OTE Group of Companies, we specialize in delivering cutting‑edge ICT solutions and services spanning Cloud Services, Data Centre operations, Networking, Cybersecurity, Business Intelligence, Big Data, and more.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing application architectures and cloud solutions that meet the evolving technological needs of our clients. You will collaborate closely with project leaders, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Propose and document the architecture for the future Talent Pool, in alignment with the technical constraints of reuse of existing components and building blocks
• Ensure alignment between the business needs and the architecture of the solution, through documentation, presentations and workshops with the relevant stakeholders
• Review all technical analysis performed by the IT external development company, support the Project manager on the decisions to take, and provide feedback on the estimates
• Review the proposals of DG EMPL for synergies with other IT systems, and make proposals of architecture
• Support the Project Manager in all decisions related to IT developments and change of architecture
• Risk and issue analysis, propose mitigation paths
• Interaction with other architects, business analysts, business owners, project manager, external development company

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field.
• 17+ years of total Experience in IT
• At least 10 years of specific expertise in Java development
• At least 5 years of specific expertise in Knowledge in UML modelling (diagrams)
• At least 5 years of specific expertise in Knowledge of EC corporate components of architecture (EU Login, EU Send, …)
• Extensive experience of IT developments and IT architecture
• Ability to communicate orally and in written in a clear and efficient manner
• Ability to draft, improve and document architecture decisions, propose several solutions with pros, cons and risks
• Excellent team spirit
• Ability to apply high quality standards
• Ability to model diagrams in UML standards
• Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
• Analysis and problem solving skills
• Capability to write clear and structured technical documents
