ITProposal in Brussels seeks an experienced Application Architect / Functional Analyst to support modernization of a complex IT environment, blending legacy systems with modern Cloud and hybrid architectures. You will help improve architecture, reduce technical debt, and ensure secure, scalable and maintainable solutions.

Key responsibilities include leading design reviews, ensuring compliance with security standards, and bridging business, development, security and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in functional analysis and application architecture.
• Expert knowledge of modern Java, Spring, microservices, API-driven and event-driven architectures.
• Good knowledge of data modelling, data integration and data security.
• Experience with relational databases, particularly MySQL.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong knowledge of Atlassian/Jira.

Responsabilités

• Perform functional and technical analysis for business projects.
• Design and review application, data and integration architectures.
• Advise development teams on technologies, architectural patterns, performance and scalability.
• Lead design reviews and validate Proofs of Concept.
• Ensure compliance with architecture, security and development standards.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Application Architect / Functional Analyst to support the modernization of a complex IT environment combining legacy systems with modern Cloud and hybrid architectures. You will help improve architecture, reduce technical debt, and ensure secure, scalable and maintainable solutions.
