Itproposal is seeking an experienced Application Architect / Functional Analyst to modernize a complex IT environment in Brussels, blending legacy systems with cloud and hybrid architectures. You will perform functional and technical analysis, design and review architectures, lead design reviews, guide development teams on patterns, and ensure Security by Design in line with NIS2.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in functional analysis and application architecture.
• Knowledge of modern Java, Spring, microservices, API-driven and event-driven architectures.
• Data modelling, data integration and data security knowledge.
• Relational databases, especially MySQL.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Security/compliance awareness including NIS2 knowledge.
• Languages: Dutch, French and English.

Responsabilités

• Perform functional and technical analysis for business projects.
• Design and review application, data and integration architectures.
• Advise development teams on technologies, architectural patterns, performance and scalability.
• Lead design reviews and validate Proofs of Concept.
• Ensure compliance with architecture, security and development standards.
• Bridge communication between business, development, security and infrastructure teams.
• Analyse and resolve complex business and technical problems.
• Ensure consistency between legacy and modern systems.
• Apply Security by Design principles and translate NIS2 requirements into technical measures.
• Document architectural decisions and support knowledge sharing within teams.
