ABB E-mobility is seeking an experienced Android/Kernel Software Developer to join our team in Hasselt, Belgium. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the Android-based user interface for our DC fast chargers, focusing on building efficient and high-performance systems.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in engineering or computer science, strong expertise in C/C++ and Java, as well as experience with the Linux Kernel. You will work in a collaborative team to ensure a seamless customer charging experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering/computer science (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong Android expertise: C/C++ and Java; experience with customized AOSP platform and Linux Kernel.
• Comfortable with the Linux command line and Android tooling.

Responsabilités

• Work with the Linux kernel layer for hardware-software integration.
• Develop and maintain device management agents for remote administration.
• Create background services and optimize system processes.
• Customize Android builds and manage system partitions.
• Use tools to diagnose system crashes and performance issues.
• Implement security hardening and compliance requirements.
