ILIAS Solutions is seeking an Analytics Engineer in Diegem, Belgium for a hybrid, permanent role. You will split time between client-site embedment and the Product Engineering Team, turning raw data into dashboards and insights for mission readiness.
Expertise in SQL, Python, data modelling, and dashboarding is required, with strong French, Dutch and English language skills and NATO security-clearance eligibility. Hybrid work and a company car are among the benefits.
€63,000–€95,000 gross/year · Hybrid (2 days on-site per week, at client premises or company office; 3 days from home) · Permanent, full-time
The systems that track assets, flag maintenance needs and inform mission readiness do not run on gut feeling, they run on onclean data and sharp analysis. As Analytics Engineer you will split your time between being embedded at a defence customer site as part of a structured Forward Deployed Engineer team and contributing to the Product Engineering Team, turning raw operational data into the dashboards and insights that operational teams actually rely on. The rotation structure means you carry real on-site ownership while a full team provides backup and coverage; you are not alone.
What success looks likeOver time, the client teams you support will reach for your dashboards first because the data behind them is trustworthy and the models are built to last. Requirements you gather on-site translate cleanly into working deliverables. Domain experts recognise that you understood what they needed — not just what they said. The components you build are documented well enough that the wider team can maintain, extend and take them into operational use without relying on your recall.
The language requirement and clearance eligibility are firm; for everything else, we consider the overall strength of your experience.
ILIAS Solutions, part of the Patria Group, builds software that defence organisations use to manage operational readiness, asset tracking, maintenance, mission planning and the data layers beneath them. The work has real consequences, and the people who do it know it.As Analytics Engineer you will have direct contact with operational outcomes: the dashboards you build are not internal reporting tools — they are the view a team uses to make decisions about equipment and readiness. At the same time, the rotation structure means you are backed by colleagues, technical depth in the wider team, dedicated testing and documentation support outside your on-site periods, and the kind of stability that comes with a permanent role inside an established defence-software group. If you want data work that is consequential, a client environment that takes precision seriously, and a team structure that supports without micromanaging, this is that role.
