Abakus IT Solutions in Belgium is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager specialized in Identity & Access Management (IAM) to lead complex IAM projects from initiation to production handover. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage scope, risks and budgets, and ensure secure deployments across hybrid environments.

The role requires proven IAM implementation experience, strong technical knowledge of IAM architectures, and fluency in French and English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5years of experience leading IAM projects.
• Proven and recent experience implementing an IAM solution in a large-scale environment.
• Strong understanding of IAM architectures and their integration with directories, infra, apps, cloud and HR.
• Knowledge of IAM standards and protocols such as SAML, I�OIDC, OAuth 2.0 and SCIM.
• Fluent French and good English are required.

AISB-1020 Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager – IAM

We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager specialized in Identity & Access Management (IAM) to join a challenging cybersecurity environment.You will be responsible for managing projects from initial assessment and scoping through design, implementation, migration, testing and production rollout. Working with cybersecurity experts, architects, infrastructure and cloud teams, operational security teams and external partners, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and with the expected quality.

Your main focus will be on IAM projects in complex and hybrid environments, while also contributing to broader infrastructure security initiatives.We are looking for someone who has actually led an IAM implementation, not only worked around IAM concepts. You should be able to explain your role in the implementation, the challenges encountered, the decisions made, the results achieved and how the solution was successfully adopted and transferred to operations.

Missions

• Lead cybersecurity projects from initiation to production and operational handover.
• Define project scope, objectives, roadmap, planning, resources, budget and deliverables.
• Identify, assess and monitor project risks, dependencies and mitigation actions.
• Coordinate cybersecurity, infrastructure, network, cloud, application, HR, business and external vendor teams.
• Organize and lead workshops, project meetings and steering committees.
• Provide clear project reporting to sponsors and governance bodies.
• Lead IAM initiatives covering:
  • Identity lifecycle management (joiner, mover, leaver).
  • Automated provisioning and deprovisioning.
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and access governance.
  • Least privilege and segregation of duties.
  • Single Sign-On (SSO), MFA and passwordless authentication.
  • Identity federation and access certification/review campaigns.
  • Integration with HR systems, directories, applications, cloud and infrastructure services.
  • Privileged, technical and non-human identities in coordination with PAM solutions.
  • Identity and access migration, testing, validation and production deployment.
• Support change management and user adoption throughout IAM implementations.
• Contribute, when required, to infrastructure security projects involving PAM, PKI, HSM, SASE, ZTNA, VPN, firewalls and cloud security.
• Support strategic studies, security solution selection, RFPs and operational deployments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5years of experience leading IAM projects, with significant project management experience.
• Proven and recent experience implementing an IAM solution in a complex or large-scale environment.
• Strong understanding of IAM architectures, enterprise directories and their integration with infrastructure, applications, cloud and HR processes.
• Practical knowledge of:
  • Identity lifecycle management
  • Provisioning / deprovisioning
  • RBAC and access governance
  • SSO and identity federation
  • MFA and passwordless authentication
  • Access reviews and certification
  • PAM and privileged identities
• Good knowledge of IAM standards and protocols such as SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0 and SCIM.
• Understanding of Zero Trust principles.
• Experience managing design, integration, migration, testing, acceptance, production deployment and operational handover.
• Strong experience in project planning, risk management, dependencies, reporting and stakeholder coordination.
• Familiarity with classical and/or Agile project management methodologies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with architects, security experts, infrastructure and network engineers, business stakeholders and suppliers.
• Knowledge of NIS2 and/or ISO 27001 is an asset.
• Experience with PKI, HSM, SASE, ZTNA, VPN, firewalls or cloud security is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to simplify and explain complex technical subjects to non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent French and good English are required.
