Expeditors in Belgium is seeking an Air Import Lead Agent to ensure timely freight movement and top-tier customer service. You will handle data entry, track imports, and coordinate with customers and brokers to meet regulatory and company standards.

The role requires 6 months to 1 year in airfreight experience, fluency in English and Dutch, and eligibility to work in Belgium. IATA certification is preferred; growth opportunities are highlighted in this multinational logistics group.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year related experience in airfreight; or equivalent education and experience.
• Understanding of air documentation process is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Dutch; able to work in Belgium.

Responsabilités

• Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information within the Air Import Department.
• Track and trace Air Import files and use workflows daily.
• Ensure timely delivery of freight to customers for Import shipments.
• Ensure documents are sent to customers or brokers for customs purposes.
• Ensure accurate client and Service Providers billing.
• Interact with customers to arrange international shipments and meet service standards.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers (airlines, trucking companies).
• Meet compliance with OPS and external regulations and customer policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve department processes and efficiency.
• Ensure SOPs are followed and updated; meet KPIs.
• Handle overseas communications and timely email responses.

Job Description

Scope of Position

Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Air Import Department.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system
• Track and trace Air Import files as required
• Use Workflows on daily basis
• Ensure timely delivery of freight to customers for Import shipments
• Ensure documents are timely sent to customer or broker for customs purposes
• Ensure accurate and timely client and Service Providers billing
• Interact with our customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards
• Contribute to maintain strong relationships with suppliers (airlines, trucking companies, and others)
• Meet compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer's policies / requirements.
• Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency
• Ensure all customers' standard operating procedures are followed and updated
• Meet KPI standards, as per the company procedures
• Overseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year related experience in airfreight; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Understanding of air documentation process a plus
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills
• IATA certification (preferred)
• Fluent in English and Dutch
• Eligible to work in Belgium
