The role bridges AI engineering, application architecture, cloud infrastructure, data architecture, integration, security and enterprise governance. It focuses on shared platform architecture rather than owning the detailed business design of each individual use case.
Your key responsibilities are:
- Platform architecture
- You define the target and transition architectures for the enterprise GenAI platform.
- You design architecture patterns for model access, AI Gateway, agent runtime, RAG, knowledge retrieval, evaluation, observability and platform administration.
- You define the appropriate separation between shared Hub services and use-case-specific components.
- You establish environment, regional, subscription and business-unit segmentation patterns.
- You design platform patterns that support multiple models and providers without unnecessary application coupling.
- You ensure architecture decisions address availability, performance, latency, scalability, recoverability and cost.
- Reference architectures and standards
- You create reference architectures for common workloads, including:Conversational assistants, document and knowledge assistants, agentic process automation, standalone model/API consumption,RAG applications, MCP servers and enterprise tools an multi-agent solutions.
- You define platform standards for authentication, authorization, secrets, networking, private endpoints and data isolation.
- You develop architecture decision records and approved technology patterns.
- You maintain technical standards for service-to-service communication, auditability and model abstraction.
- Architecture governance
- You review significant platform and Spoke solution designs.
- You guide development teams toward standard platform capabilities and approved patterns.
- You identify architecture exceptions and ensure that they are risk-assessed, documented and approved.
- You Work with the AI technology architecture board to maintain the approved technology catalogue.
- You prevent unnecessary framework proliferation and incompatible implementation patterns.
- Technical leadership
- You provide design guidance to platform engineers, AI engineers and Spoke solution architects.
- You lead proof-of-technology activities for emerging platform capabilities.
- You evaluate new model providers, agent frameworks, gateway technologies, vector stores and observability tools.
- You mentor engineers and architects in GenAI architecture and production-readiness practices.
- You communicate technical trade-offs to both engineering and executive audiences.
Who are you?
- You have extensive experience in solution, platform, cloud or enterprise architecture.
- You have production experience with distributed applications and cloud-native architecture.
- You have Strong knowledge of agentic patterns, orchestration, LLM evaluation, model integration and RAG.

- You are strong in stakeholdermanagement and demonstrated ability to influence multiple engineering teams without direct authority.
- You have experience in Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI.
- A big plus is experience in: AI Gateway and API Management design - Container Apps, Kubernetes and managed cloud services -Evaluation techniques including golden datasets, regression evaluations and LLM-assisted assessment -AI security threats, such as prompt injection, excessive agency and sensitive-data disclosure.
What can you expect?
- A competitive remuneration package.
- An extensive leave system and a flexible work schedule with the option of home working.
- Luncheon vouchers, hospitalisation and group insurance.
