imec is seeking an AI Marketing Communication Lead to shape and communicate its position at the intersection of AI, computing and semiconductor innovation. You will craft narratives, drive campaigns and lead ecosystem activation to convert awareness into business opportunities.

You will work closely with AI leadership and cross-functional teams, building credible external-facing AI communications and engaging frontier model labs and AI builders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, brand strategy, product marketing or marketing communications, ideally in AI or another deep-tech environment.

• Build demand and business opportunities through integrated campaigns and thought-leadership programs that create awareness with the right audiences, generate interest and support business growth.
• Lead strategic event and ecosystem activation by identifying events, speaking opportunities and ecosystem touchpoints that strengthen imec’s position.

We are looking for an AI Marketing Communication Lead to help build and communicate that position. Working closely with technical and business colleagues, you will develop the narratives, positioning and ecosystem presence that establishes imec as a trusted voice at the intersection of AI, computing and semiconductor innovation.

What you will do

• Act as the marketing communication lead for imec’s AI portfolio, working at the intersection of technology, business strategy and marketing communication.
• Collaborate closely with AI leadership, portfolio and business teams and colleagues across Corporate, Marketing & Outreach communications at imec HQ.
• Shape the AI market position by developing a focused marketing communication strategy that turns imec’s AI offerings into a distinctive, credible and commercially relevant position.
• Build demand and business opportunities through integrated campaigns and thought-leadership programs that create awareness with the right audiences, generate interest and support business growth.
• Lead strategic event and ecosystem activation by identifying the events, speaking opportunities and ecosystem touchpoints that strengthen imec’s position and connect our experts with relevant audiences.
• Assist in building the imec AI brand by defining how imec can reach new AI-first customers, such as frontier model labs and AI builders.
• Create high-impact customer-facing content by owning the narrative, briefing and/or developing core assets such as pitch decks, webpages, blog posts, video content and event content.
• Be the point of contact within CMO for imec’s external-facing AI activities.

Who you are

• You combine strategic brand-building and go-to-market experience with the drive to make things happen.
• You are comfortable operating where the proposition is not yet fully defined.
• You have 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, brand strategy, product marketing or marketing communications, ideally in AI or another deep-tech environment.
• You have demonstrated experience building a market position, proposition or brand for a new or emerging business area.
• You have enough understanding of the AI landscape to engage credibly with experts and translate complex topics into clear customer value.
• You understand the communication style required to engage with the fast-moving AI community.
• You bring strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge, align and move cross-functional teams forward.
• You have a curious, structured and proactive approach, with the resilience to navigate a complex organization and evolving priorities.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Location: As you are the interpin between the Marcom department and the imec AI portfolio, this position requires you to be at imec HQ Leuven at least 1 day per week and at the AI Ghent location at least 1 day per week, with an option to work from other Belgian sites and from home for a maximum of 2 days a week.
