Job summary

WWF Belgium in Brussels is seeking an Accountant Intern to support day-to-day finance operations and gain hands-on experience. You will handle purchases, bank transactions, supplier accounts, VAT declarations, and ledger support as part of a small finance team.

This six-month internship offers a flexible work arrangement (home-based with IT provisions or a pleasant Brussels office) and alignment with WWF values.

Qualifications

• Not a student anymore (this is a requirement).
• Short-term first internship experience preferred.
• Available for at least 6 months (start Oct/Nov 2026).
• Fluent in French or Dutch with working knowledge of English.
• Basic knowledge of Excel and a desire to enhance technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices from reception to encoding with accuracy.
• Encode bank transactions to keep financial systems up to date.
• Clear supplier accounts to maintain strong relationships and accuracy.
• Assist with VAT declarations and compliance tasks.
• Support general ledger entries and balance sheet accounts.

• Supporting general ledger entries and balance sheet accounts: Contribute to the foundation of our financial reporting with hands-on experience.

Who will you collaborate with

• You will collaborate daily with your direct colleagues:Alain (Finance Director), Maggy (Accountant), Nelly (Finance & HR Officer), and Amélie (Accounting Intern).
• You will also be in touch with all members of the Panda staff.
